Investigations are undertaken for either Prosecution parties or the Defence.
Confidentiality will be considered paramount in either event, and scrupulous recording will be undertaken. Still (or video) photography will be carried out by microscope, if appropriate, to illustrate minute detail. Scanning electron microscopy, metallography, analysis and mechanical testing can be arranged when necessary.
You will be provided with a written estimate of costs and timescale for completion. See also 'Rates and Terms'
Prosecution:
David Price has investigated accidents for virtually all 43 UK police forces, as well as British Transport Police and the Royal Military Police. He has given Expert evidence at court on several hundred occasions. He has also frequently provided Expert evidence for the Netherlands Police (via the Netherlands Forensic Institute). Unless requested otherwise, a section 9 Witness Statement + Expert Witness’ Self-Certificate Declaration, all conforming to CrPR, will be provided.
Defence:
David Price has provided Defence teams with expert assistance in the preparation of their case, and helped them assess the worth of other expert’s evidence. He has also provided advice to lawyers in the courtroom and provided Expert evidence from the witness box.
Legally funded work is accepted, subject to certain conditions.
