- Expert for Lord Steven’s enquiry - HRH Princess of Wales’ fatal car crash in Paris (crash 1997, examined the Mercedes S280 and all its component parts, 2005 - 2006)
- Investigation of the jet-powered car’s tyre failure that caused Richard Hammond’s 2006 crash (BBC TV ‘Top Gear’) (investigated for HSE)
- Prosecuting authority’s expert - examination of vehicles in both the Selby Rail Crash (2001) and the Berkshire (Ufton Nervet) Rail Crash (2005)
- Instrumental in the UK recall and/or VOSA investigation of thousands of vehicles including:
- Honda Civic (tyres – 2003)
- Hyundai Lantra (rear suspension – 1996)
- Ford Fiesta (seat belt - 1996)
- Various second-hand tyres (fitting damage – 1995)
